on july 4th 2000 the foo fighters came to play a little acoustic set at a local music store in louisville, ky. i was right infront of the stage smiling up at dave the whole time. it was such a great experince. after the show i wondered back behind the store with my friends so i could write down everything i was feeling at the time. i wrote on and on about how much i love dave and how much foo fighters and nirvana mean to me. well anyway...we were sitting right infront of this hidden door and didn't even realise it. then out of no where taylor pops his head out and is like "hey what's up". he comes out and starts talking to all of us. i'm totally star-struck, but my friends are joking around with taylor hawkins like he's just a regular guy. it was sooo great. his hair was really dirty, but he was nice, funny, and kewl. then this insane girl comes out of nowhere and clings to taylor and starts crying and telling him she wants to marry him and crap. it was h! ilarious! my friends and taylor were making fun of her so bad! but that girl scared him and he went back inside. so my friends and i are still hanging out by that door, its just us 4 because the insane girl left after taylor escaped her death grip. then out comes dave. i felt like i was going to die. he was the most beautiful creature i'd ever seen. i went up to him, said "hi", then asked if i could give him a hug. "sure" he said. so i did. his skin is really soft. then i handed him the 4 page "love letter" i'd been writing ealier. he read the first few lines, smiled real big and rasied his head to meet my eyes. dave grohl thanked me, gave my shoulder a delicate squeeze and walked away. i didn't want to let him go, but i did. i felt so happy. i didn't ask for an autograph or anything. i didn't care. i love foo fighters. i love dave grohl.
